Qt World Summit 2015, OCTOBER 5-7, BERLIN, GERMANY Qt for Native Client: Native Client is a sandbox for running compiled C++ code securely and efficiently in the Chrome browser. The Qt for Native Client platform port allows compiling Qt applications as Portable Native Client executables, which can then be distributed via the web or on the Chrome App store to any system running the Chrome browser or Chrome OS. This talk will show how to use NaCl SDK and tools provided with Qt to create, debug, and deploy a web-distributable application using either Qt Widgets or Qt Quick. A key aspect will be highlighting the unique requirements and restrictions caused by the Native Client and browser sandboxes. Topics covered includes interaction with the hosting web page, OpenGL, Multimedia, network access and the Qt Quick runtime and playground. Qt for Native Client is available as a tech preview in source code form.
